Lauren Welch is an experienced financial counselor who has been empowering military families by putting impactful financial readiness tools in their hands. Through education, training, and resources, Lauren has connected hundreds of military spouses to the information needed to improve their financial health. I highly recommend Lauren’s services for anyone seeking tangible ways to become fiscally responsible, plan for the future, or improve their current financial situation.
We finally had to conquer the “elephant in the room” that was our finances. It wasn’t until our credit cards were maxed out and I had no way of buying groceries that we realized our financial situation was serious. Lauren taught us how to be intentional with our money by budgeting to take care of ourselves first, how to pay down debt, AND SAVE! Her personal attention and advice has been essential to turning our finance around. It’s been two years now and we’re still practicing what she taught us.
Lauren led us through Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University class and also provided us with one-on-one financial counseling. She has consistently displayed a wisdom and knowledge in providing us the financial rudder steers that we needed to maneuver our way out our mountain of debt and poor past decisions. Through this process, she has revealed herself to be patient and understanding; but most refreshingly, REAL! She intuitively understands how to take black and white financial concepts and practically apply them to the gray of life! Thank you, Lauren for taking the time to care about us!
The only way for me to describe my families financial situation prior to seeking the help of Lauren during the summer of 2014 is, well, embarrassing. With a family of five on one income our money seemed to be spent before it was even in the bank. We had sought the help of other financial advisers but could never develop a budget that we could understand, let alone stick to. Needless to say most of our arguments were rooted with finances. Lauren was very patient with us, explaining how a budget actually works. Showing us that a budget isn’t meant to be restrictive or burdensome, but rather freeing. With the help of Lauren we were able to develop a budget that worked FOR us, not against us. I am proud to say that though we are still in debt we are well on our way to becoming debt free, and there is no greater feeling!
